HOW CAN YOU PARTICIPATE IN EVS?

In order to do international volunteer work, you need to fit certain criteria:

• The program is meant for people between 18 and 30 years of age.
• You need to find a sending organization that will send you to a volunteer project abroad. The Lava Legato foundation is a sending organization. We can function as your sending organization.
• You need an English CV. To create an English CV you can use a format that you can download from the internet. Click here for the link to the format. 
• You need a motivation letter in which you explain why you would like to participate in an EVS project.
• You need to find a project abroad where you can go to do your volunteer project. Projects can be found on the Youth in Action website. This is a database that contains all projects where you can do EVS volunteer work.
• A grant should be applied to finance the project. This is done by the sending or hosting organization. Please take into account the deadlines for applying for a grant. Only after the grant is approved can you go abroad. The deadlines for 2012 are:
• 1 February for projects that start between 1 May and 31 October
• 1 May for projects that start between 1 August and 31 January
• 1 October for projects that start between 1 January and 30 June
